I genuinely can’t rate this course highly enough. The chance to learn from people whose photos I’ve admired on social media for years is incredible. What was more incredible was how generous they were with their knowledge, skills and advice. They were unfailingly patient and good humoured. The group setting was brilliant, it was a fun, funny and full-on weekend, with a fantastic bunch of people who I hope to stay friends with.

Propellor Project provides an end to end interactive workshop that takes you through drone camera settings, framing, CASA regulations, post editing for photos and videos PLUS great locations and company! You don’t have to worry about a thing except charging your batteries! I’d highly recommend them to people from beginners to professional drone operators. I loved it!

Just ask yourself, what do I expect to get out of a drone workshop? If you are expecting to meet a good bunch of people, make new friendships, learn a lot, one on one time with the instructors, share feedback with the group and all in all just have a good time… Then jump on board with these lads, I highly recommend going on at least one of their workshops!

Exceptional course led by two of WA’s premier aerial image specialists. From the initial communication of the itinerary, to the ongoing support after the course, the team at Propeller Project have really excelled.

Attending the course with some experience as a drone pilot and photographer I was extremely pleased to be able to walk away with new techniques and tips in both piloting and post production of my imagery that I immediately implemented to great effect. The course is jam packed with trips to the most idyllic locations our coastline has to offer. These guys put you in the right spot everytime, and give you the best opportunity to capture something amazing.

The learning environment is ideal, being both fun and relaxed but with a real focus on everyone discovering something new. Scott and Matt’s ability to cater to everybody’s individual needs and skill sets within the group was effortless.

I highly recommend this course for anyone of any level with an interest in drones and aerial imagery. Not only do you walk away with a wealth of knowledge and a great experience, but the great social vibe increases your network of new friends and like minded people

this is a MUST workshop. If you’re new to the drone world and can fly I guarantee you will get a lot from this. I got more out of this workshop in 2 days than i ever got from watch countless hours on youtube for 6 months. Having Matt and Scotty helping me out with any questions during or even weeks after the workshop is service you won’t find anywhere else. I have confidence now with my post work in editing footage or my photos that they will come out better than i ever expected.

I will be going on another workshop as soon as I’m free I can promise you that. Also meeting people with the same enthusiasm as myself is a bonus, everyone has a different objective and learning curve and Scotty and Matt nailed it on the head with catering to everyone’s needs.

The workshop was absolutely amazing, I learnt so much. From tips and tricks with flying the drone & also learning the post-processing side which is what I was aiming to take home with me back to Port Hedland. All in all I took home more knowledge and experiences then what what I was after. I Highly recommend any future workshops ran by these guys, you wouldn’t want to miss out.

Khalis Kalzee

To have an opportunity to not only be taught by exceptional people such as Matt and Scott, to be able to spend time with like minded enthusiasts is beyond the cost of the course. Having been an ex instructor I’d always said to my students, “if you take away one thing that’s great”. On their course the take aways are to numerous to list. I’d not only highly recommend their courses I’d go as far to say you’ll miss an opportunity of a lifetime. The foundation this course sets, lines your focus up for years to come; along with friendships you’d not normally come across.

Strongly recommend anyone to take the opportunity to learn from these two exceptionally talented guys.
Throughout the whole workshop that was held by Propellor Project from booking, class and field components of the weekend and the continuous support afterwards, the guys were professional and enjoyable to deal with.
The workshop included both novice and experienced students, however due to the knowledge of both guys, everyone was able to learn from them.
Will definitely look to be involved in future workshops

Awesome weekend guys, thanks very much. Gave us all more confidence in the air and knowledge on the screens.

Even experienced drone pilots will get great benefit from attending one of Scott and Matt’s workshops. I found the sit down discussions between the flying sessions really informative. Both of them are super knowledgeable in their respective fields.
They were able to give me (an experienced lightroom user) numerous pointers for giving my photos more impact while also helping me (a relatively new social media participant) understand how to build better exposure for my business.
Scott also illustrated his technique and workflow for making eye catching video.
Couple this with some absolutely amazing flying locations and other pilots/photographers with the same interest in improving their skill set and you are set to have a very good experience.

Excellent!!! I recently did the 2 day 2 night trip to Margaret River and loved it.
Video, photography and editing Matt and Scott have it covered plus the locations are beautiful, the accommodation was nice and relaxing and it was a lot of fun.
If you’re thinking about doing one of their workshops don’t hesitate, just do it.

Every one of our workshops tells a different tale! Here’s a quick summary on the awesome Esperance crew from last week (left to right):
.
@mgldroneops - Been on the run from Border Force since 2013. Had the crew in stitches with his first hand account of mating sea lions. Loves coffee machines.
.
@kimmareegibson - The first time she flew her drone over water she was reaching for the sick bag. By the end of the workshop she was shooting coastal scenes 8km away from the hotel pool.
.
@elphaone The Esperance Godfather. Loves the beautiful blues of a tarpaulin more than the ocean. A fine coastal shooter with newly sharpened video skills.
.
@joslaloh - This quiet achiever just goes about his business with little fuss. So good at taking wildlife pics he does it without even knowing they’re there.
.
@auburn.amy - Less sure of her Instagram name than her ability with the drone. It’s all about the video and she racks up the footage while buzzing around like a lunatic. We could be seeing her on @westernaustralia soon if her drone survives.
.
@cruising_overland - Great guy who loves Italian accents but hates technology. Hates it. Except when it works which is almost never in his case.
.
@waffledefficient - sports a peculiar instagram name. Solid shooter who flies under the radar, literally. Great dude and Apple Mac fan-boy... bless.
.
@terrificpicturesaus - Loves to shoot, all the time. Remarkably lazy and doesn’t even stand up to catch his Phantom 4. Classic funny man.
.
@jenni_banfield - Regularly uses foul language to whip everyone into line when required, which was welcomed. Conservative shooter who doesn’t need to fly around for hours to get the bangers!
.
@finlay_mckenzie - Son to @snappy_reggie (yet to be confirmed). Reportedly owns an island somewhere. Don’t let his innocent appearance fool you, he’ll shoot you down in a heartbeat if he particularly feels inclined. Currently on the run from CASA.
.
@snappy_reggie - Quick witted and laid back, he’s the kind of guy you want on every workshop. Sacrificed sleep the entire journey home to keep the skipper company, which is more than we can say for everyone else 😴😴
...

That's a wrap! Our first Esperance workshop was a huge success, the photos and videos everyone captured speak for themselves!
